Mariánské Lázně

Mariánské Lázně is the second most important spa town in the Czech Republic and the largest after Karlovy Vary. You will find magnificent parks and a colonnade, where 40 springs bubble to the surface. They contain carbon dioxide and mineral salts, and you can drink from them.

The town’s history as a spa goes back to the 19th century, and since then many famous people have visited Mariánské Lázně, including composer Antonín Dvořák, American inventor Thomas Alva Edison, opera singer Ema Destinnová, British King Edward VII, and writer Franz Kafka.
